De petrochemische industrie is de pijlerindustrie van mijn land. Het verwerkt en verkoopt voornamelijk ruwe olie en aardgas. Bijvoorbeeld verwerkt tot diesel, kerosine, benzine, asfalt, paraffine, zwavel (een bijproduct van aardgas), kunststoffen, rubber, vezels, chemicaliën, etc.
